skip for 30 secs then walk in place for 30 secs...repeat for 5-15 minutes. you can do the same with punching/kicking but I would go 1 minute p/k with 1 minutes rest...

It worked for me. I stayed loose while I gained and improved my speed.

Oh right I thought skippin and punch bags was a waste of calories. Got told my a bodybuilder than until you cut cardio is a waste of calories so not to bother. It weren't until I felt really ill and out of energy that I did cardio again

you have to train your body explosively. look into olympic lifts & plyometrics. since you probably have some decent size you also need to work on your endurance. just because you are big doesn't mean that you have to tire easily..

pumpthatiron, I'm basically the same as you are: pretty big and strong (high bf%) with very little endurance. This might sound stupid, but if you start to powerwalk for relatively long distances (I do it before school everyday inside because the hallway is the longest in Ohio - about 1/4 mile; I end up going about 1-2 miles each day), then just work your way up to jogging. I also used to be really slow (or at least I'm pretty sure I was; no one would ever wrestle with me because my friends are quite small), but now that I've worked on power, I really increased my speed a lot (as well as my power). If you want, I could post my workout. Hope this helped.
