    Cardio or no?

I do work outs at school with my high school coach. everything was fine until he had us start running sprints for half an hour before we start to lift. Im no expert but I was under the impression that you should not mix cardio and muscle gain at the same time because there is not enough protien to go around. Is what were doing ok or should I just go to the Gym by myself?

all depends on your goals, if you are trying to cut out body fat that may be ok
but I would say if you are wanting to put on serious muscle mass,,, limit your cardio
your body needs those calories you burn up from cardio to build muscle

    What sport is this for?

I would think lifting comes before the sprinting for most sports...
The only time it's bad to feel the burn is when you're peeing...

    Lightbulb Just DO IT!

Cardio should be a must either way. Not only is it healthy but when it's not overdone you will actually grow better and be even stronger.
