    I need input for a 6-day routine

I'm currently following this routine at the gym :

    Monday - Legs
    Tuesday - Shoulders/Bi
    Wednesday - Chest
    Thursday - Back/Tri
    Friday - Legs
    Saturday - All upper body
Sunday - Usually off, but if I have time to kill before Pats game I do a ton of cardio and light lifting

I need help guys. I don't know if I should be doing a certain muscle group more than 1 time a week. Also, I don't know if my combination of muscle groups are a good fit. Any suggestions?

Edit: I workout for about an hour and a half a day. I usually do 3-4 sets per exercise with reps of 12,10,10 (If i do a 4th set, I do very light about 12-15 times)

IMO ... 6 days is too much considering all the sets you are doing. Try something like this instead:

    Monday - Legs
    Tuesday - Shoulders/Bi
    Wednesday - Off
    Thursday - Chest/Tri
    Friday - Back
    Saturday - Off
    Sunday - Off or REPEAT

Agreed! Unless you are a pro or on lotsa steroids or do not have to work or go to school, make 4 sessions per week in the gym your limit!

    Amen to that...

6 days @ 1.5 hours...you'll be lucky if you don't lose whatever amount of muscle you have unless you are juiced like whoa

nothing wrong with 6 days a week as long as your not overtraining, but at 1.5 hours per workout (provided you are natural) chances are that you are training a little too much

either cut it down to 4 days like the rest have said, or cut down your workout times to 30-40mins per session

    peace

6 days a week is ridiculous IMO because you don't grow in the gym, you grow when your body can metabolize the changes that were instigated during the workout itself

Thanks for the feedback guys. Also, I am in school, but am not playing a winter sport so I do have a lot of time on my hands. I prefer to go to the gym 6 times a week, so could I just do all cardio on 2 of my "off" days, or will that be just as bad as before?

Perfect...train with weights 4 days per week and do some cardio for 2 other days. As DD says, you do not grow in the gym...you grow while at rest. Don't dig a hole so deep that you can't fill it with dirt and pile more on top...understand?

Yea I have recently been doing this...
    Day1
    Squats
    Day2
    Off
    Day3
    Bench/Tri's
    Day4
    Back/Bi's
    Day5
    Abs
    Day6
    Off
Repeat or off depening on weather I can start my week cycle up Sunday and still be able to follow through with everything through out the week.

    How about that?
