first off stop smoking ciggs, if you "have" to smoke up then do it occasonally.
i found when i stopped smoking up i have been gaining alot better. (shouldnt make much difference but i think i do)

for sure the back and legs will affect your arms...lol
you want big arms you have to do things like chin ups (wieghted if possible), for rows you have to use some bicep to do it.

one thing ive been told many of times is that if you work legs it makes everything ese grow faster and come on you dont want a big upper body with chicken legs

Work out your legs too bro...your body will suffer if you neglect the largest muscles in the body.

Working out at home is fine, there is no need to attend a gym

Definatly stop the smoking as it will make your work out seem harder than it is due to the fact of your breathing is affected by smoking due to all the tar coating your lungs preventing oxygen from reaching your blood with as much efficency and all the crap that will be in you arteries. Do the legs as people who build up big on top and look like they walking on match sticks look crap and when lifting things your back needs as much muscle gain as any other part of your body, upper (shoulders) and lower. roughly how long do you spend working out on the days that you do work out, also keep your work outs regualr on and of is not the best way to work out.

i am only new to the whole idea of gaining weight but i have started eating alot more but not junk food, stuff like chicken fresh cooked not fried crap, salads, fish and just food thats good for you, pasta is excelent but dont toss it in butter as it kind of defeats the point. eat regular and ignore what your parents used to say about no snacking between meals eat food between your main meals. for protiens and amino acids etc i brought some whey which i have twice a day once before and once after work out. san v12 turbo seems to be really good stuff i havent been using it long enough to really tell you how good it is but alot of people on this board have so im sure they will agree its good stuff.

    and above all

    stop smoking

    hope it helps

    hey thx guys

yeah i guess smkin is a huge factor i can tell over the yrs tht it is gettign harder to breathe durin sets

i work out for about 30-40 min

pretty much doing sets of 12 of the same weight
bench seems to be my biggest weakness id love to move tht up.
i have benched 200lbs close grip tris x1 before btu since then liek i said i slowed down.

for soem reason also i can do way more weight tris then chest
    thts weird isnt it?

alright im gonan take ur opinion on the back and legs
since i workout at my place is it "safe" lol to squat with out a squat rack
    lmk

    thx again
    rob

Well obviously id like to say id quit smkin but thts a hard enuff task itself

give your self some thing to take your mind of smokeing when u feel like fag have something to eat as that will help buld up and even better if you need to cook it or start your work out when your most in need of cigarettes

Sounds like you're limited by your habits, your routine and your equipment. Nothing wrong with working out at home, if you have enough weights to work with. "2 dumbbells" ain't really gonna cut it...In my opinion. If you're looking to bulk up, you'll have to increase the weights a bit, and lower your reps. Of course, different strokes for different folks... But if you feel it hasnt been working.

ALso with limited weights and equipment, you easily run the risk of your routine getting stagnant. You have to vary things often to keep your muscles from getting accustomed to your routine. And definitely, ad back and legs to your workouts!!!

Buy more weight, if you are gonna stay at home.

Keep the volume and the frequency low...you look good in your picture, and you say you only work out about 30-40 minutes a pop, and you work out 3 days a pop. This is not a coincidence.

I have heard the smoking takes a toll on healthy test production but I could be wrong. Even if it doesn't effect test production, it will have a negative effect on muscle recooperation. Along with numerous other downsides. I wouldn't skip any major bodypart. A lot of people, men especially slack off on leg training. I don't know about other women but I always looks at a man's legs when checking out their physique.

yes m8 go for 12 sets rather than 16 on a higher weight though, whey is protein found in milk which contains amino acids etc alot of supliments do as well but im not sure about food containing amino acids. high weight low reps is good to bulk up and gain whereas high reps and low weights is for toning up

marijuana can reduce testosterone levels. And And smoking in general lowers stamina... lowered oxygen levels are a bitch huh? Also i assume you drink regularly... im basing this on the "bacardi n coke" statement in your signature, and the fact that usually, smokers are drinkers. Basically your doing all the wrong things, and yes they all affect your gains. I would definitely make a lifestyle choice. As fer your routine, you NEED to do back and legs. You back makes you look bigger. And as for legs, i like the idea of being able to carry things, like girls for instance.

beer can actually be healthy. Depends, if you get wasted every week then no. But having a couple beers once in a while is ok, other then the the abundance of calories. My friend gets drunk weekly and thinks the reason he isnt lean is because of genetics. Never occurs to him that it may be the 1000+ extra calories he consumes in liquids on a friday night. ah well
