    back injury

I think I pulled a muscle or pinch a nerve in my lower back Saturday night while lifting. I was wondering how you guys deal with an injury. How do you eat and how long do you rest. I could probably go to the gym and do exercises that do not work my back but I am afraid of hurting it more. all I now is that it sucks because I can not go to the gym or affaraid to because of this.

You can still w/o, just be careful and don't do exercises that would overly strain your back. As far as going to the Doc, I wouldn't. Too many people freak out and go to the Doc when they really don't need too. All they need is to rest and use ice. Good luck Brian!
I must not fear. Fear is the mind-killer. Fear is the little-death that brings total obliteration. I will face my fear. I will permit it to pass over me and through me. And when it has gone past I will turn the inner eye to see its path. Where the fear has gone there will be nothing. Only I will remain...

thanks rock 4832! that is kinda what I was hoping for. Do you think I can do legs with no squats and do tris, bis, and chest. I just will not do back, shoulders and squats. I can just do light sets.

I think that'll be fine. Just be careful with chest, bi's and tri's also, you use your back to stabalize. You'll be fine, just take it easy and if you start to have pain back off.

No shit because when I hurt my back I was at the gym at work. Not my normal gym. My normal gym closes early on Saturday and is closed on Sunday. So I figured what the hell and went up there to work out. I felt my back pop and it started huring a little. It is just my lower left side around my waist. I will go tomorrow and try to lift and see how that goes. Might feel worse might be ok.
