    Wink 6-day Workout

Started working out with my buddy, he suggests a a 6-day workout. He does 3 days- every muscle upper body....... (chest, back, tri's,bi's,shoulder's,lats, neck, forear ms) and the other 3 days- legs and does abs everyday. i tried telling him he's overtraining but I thought I'd ask you guys your opinion. What do you think? I'm trying to bulk so I'm trying to find the perfect workout. Any advice? Thanks

I realy dont see how you can supply your body with enough rest time when your working out almost every day of the week. No, it sounds stupid. If your friend choose not to lose at least tell him to sleep like 10hrs a day.

I do a 6 day split but I don't hit any body part twice. I was a 5 day person for a while. I like the 6 day split b/c something like Legs can get it's own day. I have never needed to train anything more than once except Abs.

from the information you have given us its impossible to tell

it depends how he is lifting and how intense his workouts are, if he is just hitting each muscle group with just a couple of sets each workout i don't see a problem with that, everyone is different, if its working for him he should keep going till he plateus out, then it will be time to change... maybe hit everything twice a week, then eventually just once a week

if he is rather new to lifting that may explain a few things, generally he will make progress on any sort of program for the first 6 months or so

if hes training intense every workout then hitting every bodypart 3 times a week over 6 days is gonna be overkill for most, but like i said it will depend on a lot of other factors, i don't believe in overtraining, only under-recouperating

    peace
