I am very familar with screwed up sleep schedules, as I was on them for many years. Basically, you just have to adjust, and try your hardest to get back on it.![]()
as this has been my final week at Uni for the year I've been going out late pretty much every night
since tuesday i've been sleeping in the evening for 2-3 hours (eg 7-9pm), waking up and hitting the clubs then coming back and sleeping another 4-5 hours (eg 5-10am)
is this good enough for muscle building? i think so... suprisingly i feel fine! if anything better than before and my body is going no longer than 5 hours without getting a meal, seems to be working alright in the short run for me, just wondered if any of you guys have or have had similar sleeping patterns and what they were like for you
is it a case that 8-9 hours a night is seen as ideal as it is the best way to sleep or is this a misconception and really it is just the most convienient way of getting sleep?
unfortunatley i'm going back home today gonna have to go for the long 8-9 hours tonight... i know it AIN'T gonna happen! i see a restless night ahead of me![]()
let me know what your thoughts on this.
peace
Sleep is overrated in a lot of respects imo...quality over quantity
"in the howling bleeding nights, the dogs plunge into the Volga and swim desperately to gain the other bank. The nights of Stalingrad are a terror for them. Animals flee this hell; the hardest stones cannot bear it for long; only men endure."
deep long sleep causes your body to release a bigger amount of hgh and your brain to release all the useless info it stored durin the day. your muscles get repaired durin sleep, so your body get to work on growin your muscless, i advise you to go back to sleeping right esspessially if ur a serious "bodybuilder" it can make a big difference in your appearance and overall health...gl
i believe sleep is very important. Definitely quality > quantity in terms of sleep. i suppose it really depends on the person, however, i would say make sure you get at LEAST 5 good quality hours of sleep.
Damn
i have serious sleep issues, i only ever sleep for 4-5 hours at a time. i tend to sleep very deeply, i don't think its affected me negatively. i think the amount of sleep required differs from person to person.
this is exactly what i thought but now i'm not so sureOriginally Posted by QuestionGuy
meaning that i used to think that sleeping longer was better, but recently i've been going to bed when tired and getting up when awake, rather than forcing myself to get my 8-9 hours a night.. i gotta say i'm feeling much better now its like i'm always good to go and because i'm not sleeping in as much if i stay up late it means i'm not skipping meals
i always used to be kinda tired and i thought i needed more sleep, but now i'm thinking that maybe i was oversleeping a bit before, i think i'm gonna stick with just sleeping when my body wants to

Cutler sleeps in 3 shifts of 2 hours each, how he does it I have no idea.
For the mind and the body, regular sleeping patterns are a MUST in science as we know it today. Waking at the same hour however is seen to be the most important.
Interuption of REM cycles is the killer to the mind, as for the body I dont know if it is as critical, because when we look at Modafinil it does not seem to show large amounts of stress on the subject other than screwing up GH release which is neccessary of course for some repair functions.
