Hey I made a search but there doesn't seem to be a post that specifically talks about this. I was wondering what is the difference between the two types of bike workout-wise? Is one more intense than the other or use other types of body parts? I know that the recumbent allows you to lie and rest your back, but is that the only difference?
If you're training for cycling then the upright bike more closely mimics being on real bike in terms of using stabilizers and proper cycling muscles. If you're wanting to know if there's a difference for cardio training and/or fat burning then there really is no difference.
Today I can do what others will not so that tomorrow I will do what others cannot.
The difference between winners and losers is that winners do things that losers don't want to do.
