For strength you need to treat them like any other muscle and work em. Try some weight ab exercises as well as some major movements like squats and deads. Those hit them very hard.

For sculpting its all about the diet! Abs are made in the kitches...to see them you need to lower the bodyfat.

All I do lately is decline situps and captain's chairs, in addition to heavy compound movements.

First off don't cap every first letter of every word lol.

Yes weighted ab work is anything you would do just adding a some weight. If your doing situps or crunches just hold the weight on your chest and give it hell. You can also use an array of machines at a local gym if you belong to one. Cables are awsome for weighted ab work as well.

Lower ab crunch works well too.

What this means is that when we drop a ball and it falls to the ground, it wasn't the ball that moved (down to the ground), but the ground that moved (up to the ball)

Thats a hip raise and you can't target the lower or upper abs. The abdominals are all one muscle and you can't target specific portions...one portion may be hit harder then another but the entire abdominals are hit always. Same thing when it comes to chest.

Agree. Though that exercise is actually a reverse crunch, and you must minimize hip rotation as much as possible, targeting the contraction in the abs. Believe me it's effective if done correctly. As for the chest......well........
