33 yrs old...Not Feeling it anymore...Need Advice
OK, I have accepted the fact that since I'm 33, my body must not be producing as much testosterone as it was 3 yrs ago. I have never stopped working out for 8 yrs now but am steadily loosing size regardless of how hard I push myself. I have never done any steroids and only used Diet Fuel w/ Ephedra (until it was banned) and just plane 100%, uncut Creatine. That used to do just fine and I was always big and cut. Everyone swore I was juicing but I have good genetics, I guess. But I'm getting older and its all trying to go away. I know how to train and eat, although I have not been eating right for the past 5 months.
I need advice on how to hang on to what I have, or how to get it back if possible before its too late. I dont want to spend much money or use any juice. So if there is some other product I can use in relation to Creatine or any thoughts, I'd greatly appreciate it. I dont want to stack 100's of supplimets that might give me a tiny edge here or there and waste money I dont have. If there is just 1 or 2 inexpensive product anyone knows of, thats what I'm looking for. Sorry so long and thanks in advance. |

You might try taking pure tribulus with at least 40% saponins. It seems to work better for older men who have a decreased testosterone output.
I know a lot of younger people say it don't do crap and actually for younger people they are correct. They already have enough testosterone in their bodies so the tribulus won't help them make more than their body will naturally produce. It don't work that way. I have been taking it now everyday for a year and my testosterone levels are up to where they should be as well as the urge to chase the wife around the house with a rager every morning. I'm 41 and swear by it. It won't hurt to try it for a month and see how you feel. It takes a while of being on it before you get any benefit from it. |

ATTITUDE. Obvious from a mile away despite the absolutist diet guesses that are only one possible factor.
33 is young. Emotionally, you've aged prematurely but don't know it yet, prefering to repeat that you're old in order to convince yourself that it's true. You sound like a slug whose defeatist attitude must be defeated. Thinking that a supplement or diet is the only likely answer is short sighted and sounds desperate. Your good genetics may have made it harder now to accept the necessary gut check. Take a week off from training, ruminate, figure out and write down all possibilities as to why you're so blaise, 'cause THAT is the problem. Physically you can make gains and have energy for decades to come. I say that at 45 years old, with about the same great workout intensity as at 23. You on the other hand, have descended from Van Halen to Neil Sedaka. New attitude, new routine, new diet, new gym-whatever it takes to wake up and return to the living. If all of that doesn't work, you may be be burnt out long-term on lifting; happens to some. Consider alternatives that will inspire-biking, blading, yoga, cross-country running, hiking, calisthenics, judo, boxing, whatever...spend quality time and decide to find something that moves you the way sets of curls, extensions and pulldowns will for me later today. You could also try something new to switch it up a bit and give your muscles a little surprise.
http://www.angelfire.com/ny5/shenandoah/OBB/OBB.html Just take a few minutes to read what the site has to say and look at least at a few of the exercises. You can also do a little research on isometrics (as I recently have) and you may be surprised at the results, especially if you find out about the Russian who escaped from Austrian prison camps. Interesting stuff... |

33 is probably too young to be going downhill. You may have just hit a stubborn plateau, or maybe your diet is worse then you thought. There IS a possibility however that your testosterone is low. Request your doctor to check your testosterone levels. If its below 300ng/dl, then he will probably put you on supplemental testosterone, either Androgel (topically applied gel) or testosterone cypionate (injectable). If you have a choice go with the injections, they are more effective.
