    We'll if your going to have a workout partner, your going to at least talk a little bit. It's those old clueless guys who come in and do bicept curls with 10 LB'ers for 38 sets and talk the whole time about the correct way to lift while I'm curling the 85's. Get the hell away.

    Nope. Once in a while I lift with a buddy of mine (but hes going to Iraq on the 16th, so I wont be lifting with him for a while.) Of course, then I do some talkin. But, I wouldnt be able to deal with a WO partner who just wanted to talk. If we talk, its about the lifts.

    i lift at my school and everyone talks, the weight room is full of chatty chearleaders who dont wanna be there anyways so i guess i am used to it.

    Not really, most of my words are "Could you spot me for a set?" or "Are you done with this?" If I see someone I know I might talk for a minute or two, but usually I'll just wave or acknowledge they're there.

    My friend has basically a full home gym in his basement and 2 of our friends and he work out there and he keeps inviting me, but I prefer to workout alone at the gym I go to. It's just routine for me and I'm used to it, and there's not people I joke around with which makes it easier to get down to business.

    I'm also listening to mp3s during my workout pretty much all the time...
