current fat loss progress

Hey guys i have got a question about my current bf loss progress

ive lost about 6 lbs, not much showing loss in inches, but my friends and i can both see visible fat loss in the love handles, and lower stomach.

my question is, i seem to have lost this weight very quickly. its never happend like this before, but its been about 7 days, and im down 6 lbs.

Now i dont know how this happends like this, im using lipoderm ultra, and L-carnitine to try to kill burn off my lower abdominal/back fat, and eating a low carb 1300 calorie diet.

needless to say this is cool, i mean dropping weight this quickly, but i have two questions, first..

1. do you think i am losing muscle, i dont think i am but im not sure because i mean i can see visible fat loss in the love handle/lowerback area

2. do you think i am losing too fast to where it will be bad

thanks guys, halp he appreatiated..

Couple of Q's

What are your Current stats?

1300 cals seems pretty low- but not know your stats it is hard to tell

6lbs if this is the first week of the diet isn't unlikely. Prolly alot of water. If it is 6 lbs later on I might be concerned about muscle loss.

Obstacles don't have to stop you. If you run into a wall, don't turn around and give up. Figure out how to climb it, go through it, or work around it.

unless you weigh 130 pounds, you are not eating enough. you have to eat to burn fat. starving yourself will kill your lbm.

i thought to be lean you had to have low body fat which ive been told i have so eating less would decrease your body fat is that not a good thing then?

the whole purpose in cutting is to lower your body fat while protecting your muscle. if you try to lose weight by starving yourself your body will use muscle for energy. make sense?

absolutely. cardio raises metabolism and so does eating. most are too lazy to do cardio though.

The bottom line is 'Cals in, Cals out'. If you dont intake adequate cals you wont grow. If you take in less then you may burn fat. If you take in too little, your body may burn fat but also muscle (which is a ready source of enegry compared to fat) as well as you will start to have other probs in the longer term. On the other hand. If you take in a huge amount of cals on an unclean diet, you can put on more fat than muscle. So knowing your diet and understanding your cal intake is crucial.

Dont let the cardio police hear you say that. Some ppl are cardio maniacs. But i hate cardio as well.

But IMO, diet is the key to fat loss.

On my last cut i only did a few weeks of cardio and then stopped as i was loosing without much of a prob. One can adjust their cals to such a certain level and make their training more intense to create a cal deficit. Worked for me.

yeah i kinda get the picture as i do try and eat alot more healthy and have stoped the cardio so i dont burn what i put on. i definatly dont want to take in all those calories in an unhealthy way i eat alot of roles and sandwhiches, pasta chicken and fish when i can. also roles have good fillings like ham and salad, subways etc. im just as of yet not as precise on my diet as alot of you are which i will need to sit down very soon and work out a managable diet which i can afford as i can task my parents to be buying me all this food on top of the normal dinners they cook me.

thanks for the help and i will definatly be sorting out my diet and posting it here so it can be ripped to shreds lol

well i actually eat about 1500-1600 calories/day, because i wanted to be in a calorie defecit of 500 calories/day, which would eaqual a lb in a week, but then i also do 2 30 minute cardio sessions, at which time a apply the lipoderm ultra.

what do you guys think i should do?

i agree diet is crucial, but when your cals cant go any lower, then you must rely on cardio.

too low on calories, para.

you probably want to be at around 1900calories at least

i'm starting monday, i'm about 180lbs, 17%bf, and will be consuming 1839calories

and most of that weight you lost is water weight.

what's your training program look like

holy shit, you're eating 1300 calories at your current stats? say hi to catabolism for me, would you??

unless you're taking PH's, you're starving your body, and that is NOT the way to lose fat and preserve muscle.

Porbably I doubt your maintenance would be 2000 , 2100 (well I'm guessing since you said you wanted to be in a caloric defict of 500) when your 200lbs , I'm 130lbs and my maintenance is 2500 calories.. How tall are you?
If you want you could probably keep your calories 1500-1600 just incorporate some refeeds into your diet , maybe 2-3 times a week if your metabolism is indeed that slow..
