I am training my abs muscles, however I'v been told that I won't see the results visually, since I have some fat over the muscles. Yet my weight is only average, and I really don't understand how skinny one must be, for his/her abs muscles to be seen.
Should I drop some more weight, or if I just train more, I'll see the muscles in my abs? |

diet will be the key. If you can't see them, then yes, there is some fat covering them up. Some people are more genetically gifted than other, and a six-pack comes from simple ab work. Others have to combine it from a very strict diet and cardio routine.

im super skinny but i can hardely see them when i lay down i can feel that i have 8 but i cant see more the 4

If you're super skinny and can't see your abs, your abs are small. Train them to get them bigger. |

im very lean but my abs need bulking up more before they show out alot just after working them out. im guessing they need more bulking as i dont thnk i have much body fat at all and have been told im very lean most bf calculators tell me that i have 8% body fat

To execute the Stomach Vacuum, stand upright and place your hands on your hips, and exhale all the air out of your lungs, completely. Expand your chest, and bring your stomach in as much as possible, and hold. Visualize trying to touch your navel to your backbone. One isometric contraction of "X" seconds is one repetition. Once mastered, the Stomach Vacuum can be performed in a standing, kneeling, seated, and lying position. Now you will have no excuse to avoid abdominal training if you are stuck in traffic.

You may be skinny, but you might not be lean. There is definitely a difference. A small waist doesn't mean you are lean. You need to, basically, achieve one thing to have visibility of your abs: lower body fat. You can achieve this via increased muscle mass or less fat. Optimally, a combination of both is best. Additionally, more massive ab muscles makes for visibility at slightly higher body fat percentages.
