best thing to loose weight is to do alot of cardio but dont drop the amount of food your eating as not good for health and will make it take longer to loose weight

I disagree...steady state low intensity aerobics won't accelerate fat loss (diet is the best way to stimulate this), it will accelerate muscle loss. Keep your so called cardiovascular exercise intense and short in duration, 2-3 times a week

Well I dropped 40 lbs since oct. I lost a lot of my muscle mass but gained an inch in my thighs from doing cardio 5 days a week. I dropped my cal's from a bulk of 6k to 1800 cal's a day. I'm not crazy about the lost in muscle but then again I'm happy with the lower bodyfat. I can always put the muscle back on.

So to answere you ? Diet and get your B/F where you want it then put the muscle on.

SGTNOE: I don't understand your statement that dropping the cal's will make it take longer to lose weight. How did you come up w/ that one. If you kept your cal's at a maintence level and did cardio you would still lose.

IN other words don't take the route some "uninformed" do and drop to just eating like 1 meal a day cause you think you'll lose weight faster. BECAUSE YOU WONT. You got to continue eating just eat healthier, and dont wait till your starving to eat & ofcourse CARDIO!

1800 is way too low for you and I believe that was probably the main reason you lost so much muscle. You were what? 260?

Intense "CARDIO" is key to not losing muscle mass.
