My bicep w/o what do you think, enough?
Standing
EZ curl bar 2 sets 8 reps heavy~Up the weight when done and do 2 more sets of 6. Sitting Concentration curls 2 sets of 8 heavy~up the weight when done and do 2 more sets of 6 Standing Hammers 2 sets of 8 heavy~up the weight when done and do 2 more sets of 6 ** I feel like its sufficient, I get a great pump and by the time I'm done my bicepts are saying ...But I'm looking for any suggestions at maybe a better exercise I could add or maybe replace one of the exercises I'm doing. Or if its goods then great but I'm curious of other possibilities.**FYI every other month I swap the EZ curl bar for a straight bar and I do away with hammers and do stand DB curls or inclines just to change it up a bit. Thanks for any feedback. Last edited by Curlingcadys : 01-12-2005 at 06:37 PM. |

Looks good. Its more than enough, if anything. I might replace or alternate some reverse curls in there too. Also, do you do any wrist curls?

I do two sets of standing ez bar curls and hammer curls and am completely spent. Keep the intensity high, and always remember your hitting your biceps real hard during your back workout.

I only do 3-4 sets of biceps a week after back and it seems to be more than enough.

looks good but I would start with heavy sets then pump for 12+ reps and always emagine your biceps filling the gym crushing your enimies

Seems like a lot of sets...bis are easy to overtrain, they're such a small muscle. I did 12 sets of back last night....my bis were nicely pumped at that point. Then 3 sets of standing barbell curls to failure. Then 3 sets of seated hammer curls...and my arms felt like they were going to explode.

Preachers aren't too bad either and as long as you keep good form with them and don't cheat yourself by moving your elbows out or not getting your maximum extension, along with controlling the weight, you'll definitely feel the burn.

To be honest, I would decrease the volume. I think anything more than 6 sets for your biceps is too much. More is not necessarily better, remember that.

The only time it's bad to feel the burn is when you're peeing...

that is plenty if your training bi's after back, if anything maybe a little too much
but if your not training bis after back my general rule of thumb would be 6-9 sets over 3 exercises, like you have done, if this is the case your routine looks okay, maybe throw in a couple of extra sets every once in a while to really it em hard, bi's recover pretty fast i personally like going high volume on my bis, but maybe thats because they are my fave part and i have long arms so i need a few more sets anyway ![]() peace |
