Sylvester Stallone's plan

BODYBUILDING SUPPLEMENTS

I have adopted Sylvester Stallone's plan, and I think it's working for me so far.

I do 8 exercises per workout, 2 exercises per body part, 3 sets per exercise and 20, 6, 3 reps per set.

Is this good?

Someone said I should add another set of 8 - 12 reps in because 20 is way to light, and should be used as a warmup set.

Should I stick to the 20, 6, 3...or start heavy and go 3, 6, 20?

i would add that fourth set. that's 8 sets per body part, which is ok.

doing a reverse pyramid is an effective technique as well as doing the forward pyramid. eg. one week do 20, 12, 6, 3 then the next do 20, 3, 6, 12.

cutting sucks.

20 is only way to light if you make it that way. I can do a 20 rep set of squats and end up on the floor throwing up if I really want to.

It's supposed to be light. I think 4 is a lot, no? And I would be dead by the last set

Unless you are doing rest pauses thats still a light weight. I say though that if anything, higher reps is more likely to make me throw up.

20 rep squats aren't easy peasy, but its not a heavy weight if you can do 20 reps IMO.

yeah and I'm breathing like I just ran 5 miles

What this means is that when we drop a ball and it falls to the ground, it wasn't the ball that moved (down to the ground), but the ground that moved (up to the ball)

But should I incorporate one more set of 8 - 12 in? And use the 20 as a warm up, or just stick to the three sets so as not to tire myself out.

depends on your goals, remember Sly is 57 years old and I doubt that he is trying to build more muscle, his goal is to stay in shape (I assume).

The 20 reps would be for Rep range
the 6 would be for power
the 3 would be for shock

It's kind of like a condensed version of gopro's routine. True?

I wouldn't mind having his waist and money but that's about it. Arms, chest, legs, I 'll bet half of you have a bigger and better looking of the latter.

basically you pick a weight than you can squat 10x. then you FORCE yourself to do 20 reps with that weight. you may have to take a 5-10 second pause inbetween each rep but you don't stop until all 20 reps have been completed.
