Even if you aren't overtraining, your not going to be building alot of muscle when your doing intense cardio every day your not lifting in my opinion.
If I lift 4 days per week, and do really intense cardio on my 3 days of non lifting will I be overtraining?
in my opinion it depends... if you do intense cardio try not to go longer than 20 minutes on those cardio days and make sure your diet is right... i dont feel this would be overtraining but then again that depends on your split... ie if you did chest on every training day i feel that would be over training
I say eventually, but that's just my opinion!!!

from that information it is absolutely impossible to answer your question, only you can judge whether your overtraining or notOriginally Posted by reg56
i'd say 4 days a week of weights and 3 days of cardio is fine, providing your weights workouts are an hour tops, and cardio is kept to 20 mins or less

Goals? Expectations? Are you trying to grow? Trim up? Maintain?
When you lift, how many sets? Reps? What muscle groups do you work?
All of these are factors to determine whether or not you are overtraining.

depends on your level in the sport. if you are a newbie to resistance training you can do just about anything and gain LBM...
I train differently than most, my beef is with gravity the weights on the bar are just the medium...Thanks to Wall Street your slice of the American Pie has been reduced to a crumb.
I think everyone should have at least one off day per week.
Sorry, didnt have time to include info earlier. I'm just finishing up a bulk (lasted 5 weeks). I plan to start cutting next week. My diet's in check. I do about 15-18 sets and reps in the 4-8 range per workout. Workouts last about 65 minutes on lifting days. I do 25 minutes of HIIT (including 5 minute warmup), and speed ladder work on non lifting days.
Have been following this:
Monday-Chest/tri
Wednesday-Back
Friday-Shoulders/bi
Saturday-Legs
Tuesday,Thursday, Sunday - 25 mins HIIT (elliptical)/ 8-10 minutes of speed ladder
