    Training

    Hi

I just wanted to run this workout plan by you to see what you think.

My goal is to build up. Am I doing the right body parts together?. From what I read chest and shoulders are a good pair to workout on the same day.

    Monday - Chest / Shoulders / abbs
Tuesday - 30min on stepper (To help me loose belly fat)
Wednesday - Tricepts / Bicepts / Delts (this top of your arms)
Thursday - 30min on stepper (To help me loose belly fat)
Friday - Back / Legs (only want to toan legs. I never wear shorts in the summer)
    Saturday - Rest
    Sunday - Rest

    Cheers

    James

I would change everything, search push/pull/legs splits or just read up on splits
I wouldnt do chest then arms two days later my arms and shoulder hurt for two day after just doing chest alone

I train differently than most, my beef is with gravity the weights on the bar are just the medium...Thanks to Wall Street your slice of the American Pie has been reduced to a crumb.

Can I train legs 2 times per week and be OK doing that? Or will I be overtraining them?

    Hi Lam

Why is this?. If my body increases above in weight, wouldn't my legs just get stronger?

    Thanks

Wow, worst logic ever, lol. But seriously, your legs are your biggest muscles on your body, and whenever you train a muscle, growth hormones are released that can help all of your muscles grow. In addition, since muscle helps burn calories 24/7, when you eventually diet to get your bodyfat down the more muscle you have, the higher your metabolism will be.

    Hi

I understand now :-). I will train my legs. That could be where I have gone wrong in the past.

Who knows, if they look good I might start wearing shorts :-)

the best way to grow naturly is hit the gym 3 days a week Full body. break it up into about 13 exercise that don't focus on one muscle do your legs first to fire up your testostorone. then order it into a push / pull arangement do one set till failure sense you are bulking 10 should be failure if you get 10 (11 should kill you we are talking complete muscle failure) go up 5 pounds the next work out. make sure you have a spotter so you can drive for full failure and get the work out done in 47 minutes or it will not work. To many people dilly dally in the gym. to work off the fat sense it take 45 minutes for your body to go to long term fat stores aka your "belly" imediatly after you finish the work out go jump on the cardio machine of your choice for about 45 mins to an 1 hour and hold a heart rate of about 60% of your max HR. Then the intinsity of the lifting end should keep your hr up enough naturly that you will be right on track to burn pure fat for an hour. FYI 65%+ hr you go to into glycogen stores not fat stores so harder isn't always better when it comes to cardio.

Laslty and most importantly TALK TO YOUR DOCTOR BEFORE DOING ANY OF THIS AT ALL!!!

one last thing Your muscles put presures on your skeleton if the mucsles putting opposite presure on the muscle are not strong enough your body will physical emulate the effect of over trainning on the stronger muscle till every thing is even alot of peeps don't relize this.

ex. your bench should be be 40% of what you squat to keep growth constant in both areas. to keep upper and lower tensions even.

Let me get this straight. You're saying I should bench 40% of my squat weight. My max squat (attempted) is 315lb x 3. My max bench is 275lb x 1. Are you saying I shouldn't bench more than 126lb?
