    Powerlifting Vs. Bodybuilding

What makes a powerlifter (most not all) have the "blockier" shape and build vs the bodybuilder's more ripped look? I have been training for about 2 years and no matter how hard that I try I always seem to have the blockier powerlifter. Why is this?

How exactly does a single joint exercise (I hate the term isolation exercise. Nothing is ever isolated) change your physique in comparison to a compund lift?

Genetics definately play a role. A person who is blocky and starts lifting is probably more likely to get into power lifting because they're good at it (due to their genetics). We then come along and think, hey they got that way by powerlifting didn't they?. Well not realy. They started that way also!

Although I also agree with P-funk. Diet can change a lot about a person.
What this means is that when we drop a ball and it falls to the ground, it wasn't the ball that moved (down to the ground), but the ground that moved (up to the ball)
