I want to pump iron everyday.

I am at University, and I'm a Fresher..so I got loads of free time basically, and I am currently doing a 3 day split routine, but is there anyway I can go everyday? I am Trying to put on Mass as my aim btw.

    I currently have a split like :

    Mon : Chest,Shoulders,Triceps

    Wed: Back, Biceps

    Fri: Legs, Abs

I've been told unless Im on juice there is no way because your body won't recover.....Not even with all the glutamine and protein in the world ...but seriously...just wondering because I actually like pumping iron, makes me feel good.

problem being, with certain areas like the Shoulders, its very hard to isolate them without using the Back or Chest, therefore overtraining them , and wouldn't my nervous system need a break.. that was another argument I remember in why 3 day splits were the way to go... but hay that's a 4 day split..sounds good, but I'd still like to hear if there is a way to train everyday, and also some backup about this nervous system thing..

Glutamine and protein, no matter in what doses, will do nothing to increase your CNS's ability to handle stress...if you workout every day, you'll be fried

I currently do 3-4 days a week (depending on my work schedule) and I modify it as needed. I'm bulking right now. Should I do any cardio on my off days while bulking?

that is fine, you don't want to cut out all cardio when bulking or else your gonna lose your fitness, have weak cardiovascular health and it could effect your progress and your ability to train to the max... you just don't want to over-do it as cardio burns cals which you need if you want to bulk up

i'd say as long as your in a calorie surplus then a little bit of HIIT cardio is certainly a good thing... unless you want to pack on fat fast and not lean muscle

wow man what are your stats?

i've just moved from a 4 day to a 5 day split, might try a 6th day in the future if my body responds well to this

the problem for me with 3 day splits is your forced to work 2-3 muscle groups in a session, so you can't focus all your energy and efforts onto 1 particular part, you have to hit 1 part then the next then the next... workouts become long and tiring (unless your some sort of HIT dude)... then the day after your overtrained! I'd much rather hit the gym every night, totally BLAST 1 bodypart! then get outta there, then the next day i'm ready to roll again! you can check out my split in this thread: hows this training split look? i'd recommend 4 days 1st like 'new2thagame' recommended then if it goes well add in a 5th then 6th, need to give the body time to adjust to lifting more frequently though, switch it up too fast and you'll burn out

    peace
