I listen while lifting.
I see quite a few people listening to music while doing Cardio, but not too many while doing weights...maybe because its gets in the way, but I was wondering weather it might be an idea to have some inspirational music while
lifting weights?

I listen while lifting.
it depends - sometimes i like it , a little amp , but other times i just want it to be me, pain and steel.
an mp3 player is the best investment in BB i've ever made.
You're a funny guy, Sully, I like you. Dat's why I'm going to kill you lahst.

It depends on whether the annoying chatty guy is at the gym. If he is there, I use my headphones. If not, I don't wear them.
Ditto, tune everything else out, except you and the weight!!!Originally Posted by Flex

At my old gym I used to use my discman, trying to get people to leave me alone, you would be supprised how many people just come up and start talking. I would like to invest in an Ipod someday to get back into music while lifting. At my new gym I really don't know anybody so there is really no BSing going on. Pantera, Anthrax, Fear Factory, Six Feet Under, Hatebreed and Static X are some of my work out favorites.

Likewise. Static-X, Slipknot, METALLICA, Three Days Grace, and Godsmack are my usual line up. Helps me get in the ZONE.

I can't stand not having MY music playing when I work out. If I go to my friends house and they have their music playing, it's just not the same... I'm so used to where I go now, I'm kind of scared of going off to college one because of finding a gym and two maintaining my diet...
Whenever I am lifting by myself, I have to have my music with me or people just keep coming up to me asking me questions about diet and workour routine and form. It gets really annoying and I am too nice of a guy to tell them to piss off. I get my hardcore music going and get goosebumps before each set. I can definately tell I am ready for my next set when my whole body is covered.

I always get some good old liverpool scouse house on the go, gets me bouncing and ready to go, especially while boxing (strap it to my back)
it gets me more in the mood to lift i listen to rock/metal which just gets me all energetic in a sense and i also dont like the music the gym plays
Neo

Public Enemy, Living Color, AC/DC, Ice-T...anything with a hard beat and good tempo. I feel ou of sorts if I try to lift without it anymore.
