    Chest and Tricepts hurt

    Hi

On Monday, I worked out my chest and Tricepts.

On Tuesday I could feel them, but today (wednesday) my chest feels stiff and and hurts more. I like the feel of this pain though and the chest firm too . Why would it hurt more today than yesturday?.

Should I go to the gym tonight to do Bicepts and shoulders or leave it another day?.

    Thanks

    James

There should be no problem with working your biceps and shoulders if your chest is sore. Soreness is normal a few days after lifting, especially if you just started.
The only time it's bad to feel the burn is when you're peeing...

Excellent, I shall do my shoulders this evening.

I think that if I stretch, the soreness dies down a bit.

My chest is twice the size today :-) We'll looks it anayway. It's gone from south looking to normal looking - woopeee

hehehehe sounds like someone is motivated to me.

yeah sumtimes my muscles can be sorer the 2nd day after lifting. Especially legs.
What this means is that when we drop a ball and it falls to the ground, it wasn't the ball that moved (down to the ground), but the ground that moved (up to the ball)

When I experience DOMS, the soreness is always at it's peak 24 to 48 hours AFTER the workout. I'm never all that sore the day following, it gradually works its way up. When you are sore, a light workout or stretching is always a good way to get the blood flowing and alleviate it. I love the feeling though.

I experience that right now, I'm pretty much sore until a day or two before my next workout (7 days rotation).

    Hi

I went to the gym last night, and boy was my chest sore while I was working out my shoulders, delts and bicepts.

I was sitting on the shoulder press seat pushing the bar up and down. While I was doing that, my chest really hurt. But it felt good :-).

Also, I never knew I tensed up so much when doing bicept curls. I was pumping the weight and doing it properly when all of a sudden I got this cramp feeling on the side of my abs. I squssed another rep out and then had to put the weights down. Bl**dy hell it hurt, I found it hard to walk for 2mins. ANyways, waited 5 mins until the pain went and tried again. This time I did not tense the stomach.

Whoa, Chrisrock, your sig is awesome. I must say.

Anyway, back on topic, I'm the same. I hurt more the second day after my workouts. I embrace the soreness, because it means that my muscles are growing, and therefore going to the gym is having a positive effect.

Yeh, that the way I see it.

I read the sticky how to build bigger bicepts. I went down the gym and tried the instructions out. They say tense the bicept for 1 - 2 secs. After a few workouts I tried tensing, but could not feel the muscel tense.

Maybe this is a sign that my arms have had enough?.

Today, my body feels weak and I feel like eating something with sugar like a chocky bar. I am not giving in though.

I think I will have to ask a few questions on dieting later today. This is the part I am not good at.
