    Working out Lean body mass

can someone help - how do I work out LBM. For instance, I've been told that at 190lbs and 22% bodyfat, I've been told that my lean body mass is 147lbs but don't know how this figure came about.

    Help!

LBM = just muscles doesn't it?

    So 190 lbs - (.22 * 190) = 148.2

But, much of that is bone, organ, blood, other tissue.
What this means is that when we drop a ball and it falls to the ground, it wasn't the ball that moved (down to the ground), but the ground that moved (up to the ball)

LBM is everything but fat pretty much. You calculations are correct...

    The formula is:
Total body weight x % fat = fat weight.

Total body weight - fat weight = lean body mass
