I usually see retards misuing the leg curl machine.

On what exercises do you commonly see the worst form at the gym?
I've noticed that people have the worst form when they do almost any squats.
Would you dare tell he/she is doing the exercise improperly?

Now I have to ask how can anyone screw that up?Originally Posted by BigDyl

SLDLs. They always keep their legs straight and hyperextend their knee. As well, they never ensure they have a tight core and slouch down when they go down.
Squats are pretty bad too. Even if they do them correctly, they don't go down far enough.

there is always some little guido that curling an oly barbell with 45 plates with tons of body momentum
I don't see much bad form in deadlifts, SLDL's or bent rows because not many people do them, much to their loss, oh well. The big guys at my gym who DO do them use good form. However, I agree with CP on the squats thing, and I've said it before; people don't go down far enough.Originally Posted by CowPimp
Like today, a guy, average looking, comes in and goes straight over to the squat cage. I think he might have done 1 warm up set, then loads 3 plates a side on the bar and reps out 3 sets where he was miles from parallel. Now I know there are partial reps and they can have their place, but when asked 'How much do you squat' these people will say "Oh like 315 lbs" and I would think wooahhh that's pretty cool, then remember that 80% of people I see squatting go about half way to parallel. I wanna go up and say "let's see you rep that to at least parallel there boy!
What this means is that when we drop a ball and it falls to the ground, it wasn't the ball that moved (down to the ground), but the ground that moved (up to the ball)
In weight traning class I mostly see my class mates benching wrong they arch ther back as far up as it goes and they bounce the bar of there chest they also have horrible form in squating when they don' go down far enough or they go fast then I also see them do lat pulls the wrong way because they arn't in control of the weight. Our teacher also have horrible form he puts a 35 plate on the EZ curl bar and does curls with so much rocking I am amzed he hasn't got hurt he also arches his back and bounces the bar off his chest when he bences we just laugh at his horrible form.

Squats are by far the worst followed by a LOT of stability exercises, especially crunches. I probably correct a couple of people a week on these exercises. I feel it's my job because I'm a trainer and I should be helping them anyway.
Plus it's a good way to strike up a conversation with a babe: "No, I'm afraid when you squat you have to stick your butt WAY out. Here, let me hold your hips so they don't rotate too much and make sure you keep your back arched"![]()
Today I can do what others will not so that tomorrow I will do what others cannot.
The difference between winners and losers is that winners do things that losers don't want to do.
Curls, when they swing their back and actually curl like 3", the rest is ALL momentum from the swing!!!![]()

whats SLDL?.. worsed is curls..my god it terrible.this one guy leans forward while lowering his arm and then totally bends his back to bring iy up..and does about 25 reps for each set.
Just about anything on the cables. I saw one guy the other night doing something which resembled a cross betwee one arm rows and tricept extentions. As much as he was rocking back and forth, I thought he was going to fall over.

generally speaking just when large unhelathy individuals use their weight to move the machine parts rather than theur body parts of muscles, that kinda really anoyes me makes me wonder why they bother going to gym if they are gunna do that
Neo
A better question would be, what exercises do you ever see performed correctly in the gym? In my gym a atleast, at any given time If i bothered, I could spot over 50% doing some form of exercise incorrectly
thnks CR. care to explain how to do those or are they just like regular deads? but ur stiffen your legs?
curls. oh, and the obese 30 min ab workout is great, that's everyone's favorite. especially when they're on the diet coke diet. works wonders.
theres also some guy who comes to my gym who's actually not fat... but he gets on the ab ball thing and jerks crunches so hard... for like 20 mins. then looks around like hes all tough? people confuse me. if i think about them too much my brain will explode.

1. Gotta be side laterals. Most guys look like they are ready to take flight.
2. Curls. Enough said.
3. Squats: 6 inch ranges of motion with far too much weight.
Deadlifts? Never. Because no one deadlifts.

SLDL's are in my opinion, about the hardest to nail form wise. I know I do them well but still find myself checking frequently.Squats, benchpress, SLDL, although I'm kind of struggling myself getting the form on SLDL and squats down.
