    Spotter

    Hi

Do you train with a spotter or do it along?.

Down my gym, all the guys that are big or defined train alone.

All the skinny guys train with someone else.

I train alone. I sometimes ask for a spot, especially when doing heavy incline bench press.

I train at home alone. There's nothing quite as exciting as doing squats to failure with no spotter.
So many cries of inequality stem from one of group
of people doing little or nothing and then bitching
about another group that actually does something
    to improve their lives.

Train alone and prefer it that way, I will grab a spot from someone only if and when I need one... truth be told I am picky and don't like the way most people spot. I used to train with hubby and he was an excellent spotter, he knew me well enough to know exactly when and how, there is nothing worse than someone grabbing the bar too soon before you need the assist, you can tell people I will let you know if and when I need your help but some people just gotta touch the bar!

I train alone at the gym. If I'm gonna try to up my weight, I just use dumbells or drag a bench over to the Smith machine to get a good idea of how far I can push myself.

I train alone at home with my Power Rack. Nothing like having a good cage around you when you are feelin the need to tear it up.

I also train along. I used to train with a friend of mine, but I found he's skip sessions and that really annoyed me as I could not push it when he wasn't around.

    Now I train along.

I train alone, but I have no choice but to ask for a spot when performing a 1RM of the bench press, or other related pressing movement.

I train alone and ask for spots on heavy lifts, except for leg day...I train with a friend of mine...I go to complete failure; it is nice to have someone there in the event the weight doesn't go back up...(BTW, was that an appropriate use of a semi colon?)
