Doesn't your swing power get generated by your legs?
For anyone that plays softball do you have any specific exercises for helping out your swing?
I read in a magazine one time about putting the rope attachment on the upper cable pulley and with light weight pull it across your body like you were swinging a bat. I have tried it and feel it in my left tricep and right forearm.
Just wondering if this sounds beneficial to any of the ball players on here.

It's a whole body movement. Thats what I am asking for. The one thing I posted was just an example for arms.
Certainly legs are a factor, but mechanics and bat speed are the most important!
I do a lot of core exercises. This will improve trunk rotation.

Rotator cuff for throwing definitely - external and internal rotations with either cables or dumbbells.
Today I can do what others will not so that tomorrow I will do what others cannot.
The difference between winners and losers is that winners do things that losers don't want to do.
the only way to improve your swing is to practice hitting balls thrown at different speeds and variations (curve, slider, etc.)
THERE IS NO WEIGHT EXERCISE THAT WILL MAKE YOU A BETTER HITTER.
"in the howling bleeding nights, the dogs plunge into the Volga and swim desperately to gain the other bank. The nights of Stalingrad are a terror for them. Animals flee this hell; the hardest stones cannot bear it for long; only men endure."
Double D, we're talking softball Bro!
