Your delts suck! Get to work!

Most big or developed guys in my gym (and yours) have shit delts. Sure they think they are fine, but outside of Coleman and a few genetic freaks, we all have crap delts. Its time we realize just how important this muscle(s) is and figure out how to get amazing cannon-balls....Sure my delts are good, but good is mediocre when you look at a set of amazings boulders.

Lets figure this out right now...genetics and drugs be dammed!

i'd def say exercizes that bring out the side and rear delts are the most important.

In many people's cases (esp. mine), you get enough stimulation in the front head from doing chest that the sides and rears lag (which actually make them look big from the front)

so bring out those medial and rear delts and you'll have some cannon balls.
You're a funny guy, Sully, I like you. Dat's why I'm going to kill you lahst.

Form and motion is the most critical thing to developing wide and solid delts. Heavy weight means nothing! constant stimulation is the key

Good form and heavy weight is the only way to build huge delts

    we all have crap delts.
Some of the people on this forum are athletes, and disregard appearance as the trivial thing is is.

Constant stimulation with a lighter weight will define and tone the delts, but if it's size you're looking for, heavy weight comes into play.

I agree with flex, I barely do any front delt work anymore. You get so much stimulation on chest day. The rear delt I think isone of those bodyparts overlooked. In my opinion the rear delt completes the back double bi pose.

Shoulders have always been my pride and joy....unfortunately a bad case of bursitus has reared it's ugly head again. It flares up really BADLY (for days) when i do any sort of overhead pressing movement...especially anything heavy. Are my shoulders fooked? Or do you guys think solid, big delts can be developed without heavy overhead movements?

Need to do some research in the forum. You cannot define a muscle, you can only lower bodyfat to make it appear more defined. The only way to get bigger delts is progressive resistance.... aka... heavier weight or more reps.

Im wondering, has anyone has done these for delts were you stand on your hands and I suppose it would be doing a vertical push up, I dont know how you would add weight and you would have to do them against a wall.Anyone try these before?

i think shoulders are a muscle that can be easily overworked so you have to be careful where you place then in your training split.

if you really want to bring them up then maybe try doing shoulders on their own & having the day before & the day after completely off.

that way you'll be fresh to give it everything you have & also allows at least a whole day to recuperate.

i did this years ago & it worked well. the exercises i used were front presses & d/b presses (heavy), wide grip upright rows (moderate reps) & finish off with 2-3 drop sets of either side laterals & bent over laterals (alternated)

you need the day off before & after a routine like this but they responded well.

i also did chest & back together & nowhere near shoulder day. back the intensity off the other bodyparts for a while.
