im joining the uk army in september i believe and its renound for having incredably difficult basic training, i have currently cut out my cardio as i bulked up two questions really would it be recommended to do cardio on wednesdays my day of rest about 5 miles perhaps and would it cause me to loose weight?
technicaly, u loose weight when ur caloric intake is lower than ur caloric expenditure...So if ur bulking and want to build cardio vascular endurance, figure out how much ud burn with the runs and compensate with clean cals IMHO. Also, I believe that theres a specific heart rate range that u can work in to trigger C/V endurance training instead of weigth loss...
Life is what you make of it, not what it makes you...TAKE CHARGE!
cool ive got to weigh my self and the tread mills have calory burning calc oon them just out of interrest what is IMHO? sure i was told before

Those calorie calculators aren't really that accurate of a measure. I use them to gauge progress from one workout to the next, but not really as an actual measure of calories burned. Each person has a different metalbolism, and the best way to judge yourself is to watch your weight and strength very closely. If you begin to drop weight or lose strength, then either cut back on cardio or increase the calories even more.... depending on your goals there is really no set measure.. just be willing to adjust things as you go along.
yeah i will have to work that out just eat alot still and not over do the cardio, but will need cardio training gunna be running miles with full kit on back not gunna be nice, and my m8 said hes gunna finally start gym with me tomoz so i can start training to failure again :P
