    3 Month Break?

Is 3 months to long for a break? I am going to start up soccer at the end of this month, and i will not be able to work out. Is there some way to keep what mass i have now? or will i just have to regain it all back?

Well, look at it this way.... How many "buff" soccer players do you see on the field these days?

Soccer is an extreme cardio workout. Your body is going to burn calories like mad. Unless you incorporate some sort of resistance training in your routine and supplement your diet, I fear you will definately lean out and take some of your LBM with you.

Hell at the very minimum your can do some extreme isometrics or something.

You are bound to be able to find a half hour or so three times a week to keep up to par. Heck you could even do 2 fullbody workouts/week and would probably be fine.

Your biggest challenge likely will involve consistently spending time in the kitchen.

    Shoot after 6 weeks I lose a lot, 3 months - I would really lose a lot.

I would never take a break that long on purpose unless I really had to, i.e. severe injury.

I lose alot taking even a few days off. Some people are different than others though, so you might be able to maintain a solid base by the end of your soccer.

I would continue to lift weights on a normal schedule, if possible. However, if you are worried about it interfering with practice, then you could merely maintain the weights you are using and reduce the volume a little bit. This should help you maintain your LBM without hindering your performance on the field.

id say cut out the lower body weights... that might cause you to overtrain yourself. unless you did it just once a week or something. i dont see any reason why you wouldnt be able to throw an upper body workout here and there every once in a while.

You can easily cover the entire upper body in 2 workout sessions.
