Its the first sticky on the board.

    Power/Rep Range/Shock

Its truly a great workout. After three weeks my bicep has increased by an inch, chest .5 inches. My benchpress went up by 20 pounds, and all other sorts of stuff. Try it, it may work for you.

Any routine will work out well for a newbie, especially if your using periodization principals.

yup....if you are a newbie and taking in enough cals you can pratically look at weights and grow
I train differently than most, my beef is with gravity the weights on the bar are just the medium...Thanks to Wall Street your slice of the American Pie has been reduced to a crumb.

So much depends on this..... even if your a newbie.... scenario ; take two brother both with similar genetics that live with differnet perants Jack and Lee, Jack loves to play computers and dosnt eat much at all except little bits of fast food to gobble down now and then inbetween jerking off, Lee however loves to play sports and his mother always makes large dinners, now put both of them on a weight training routine and make both of their diets perfect and Jack will be the one who makes the fastest gains to HIS body.

Then their is genetics, how much out of gym activity you do i.e job, choirs or whatever, steriods, supplements etc, weight lifting routine, diet etc

as you said "what sort of time frame was involved before you (i.e. me) REALLY started noticing your gains " then i would say to you that it took me about 3 weeks as I put on 10lbs.

Right off the bat I felt energized after lifting. Id say within 4 weeks when I started training I noticed muscle growth...Lost inches(and fat) pretty much everywhere at first.

It took me a little longer... about 6 weeks to notice changes. But I am a skinny guy who was recovering from an injury, so that might be why. After 12 weeks I could see a huge difference.

like 3 years... i started lifting when i was a freshman who was overweight and had a BF% of 33%. soo it took a bit of time and also i didnt get good beginner gains since i didnt know much of what i was doing.
but now i couldnt be happier..im at 170, 6'0, and a good build.
but it seems harder now since i used up my beginners gains already. i wonder if you took about a month off from lifting and started back up you could lift with good intensity and start seeing beginner gains again since your body is used to now lifting anymore.

No you won't get newbie gains if you take a month off, you just lose a lot of strength.

Ah, the old days of literally watching your body change as you stared in the mirror at your gym. I think I really looked noticeably different after 6 weeks which wasn't bad going as I was always skinny and ripped. I think I too overtrained at first and only new protein was a big factor in muscle repair, maintenance, growth etc. Only after a year or so, I really started learning about sets, reps ranges, compound, isolation, exercises etc and basically carbs and calories. Have changed alot in four years now, so it is rewarding seeing old photos etc. Got to keep going though and am always learning.

There is no question that Gopro's P/RR/S routine will give you quick gains.

I didn't measure myself before or after, and I am overweight, so I don't see gains in size, I see loss in size, so in my case, my arms got smaller and more defined in about 3 weeks, along with my shoulders. Not too sure about my back because I just can't see it that well....
My gains in strength were amazing as I started with what I considered a very low weight but after a week, I had easily put up 30 extra pounds in my bench, seated shoulder press and all of the "pull" exercises that I had access to at home.....
But my losses, not my gains were noticeable. In this case, by the way, losses are better than gains....

3-4 weeks, I never really looked in the mirror and I was a skinny guy. But one day I was sitting on my coach doin hw and I pick up a book from the floor and I was like "damn my arms are huge!!!" I was pretty excited after that, put on 20lbs in 6 weeks. Best time of my life sort of. But I did everything perfect 6 meals a day bit, creatine, never ever missed a workout, and trained hard with good partner. I still see good gains when I do lift...
Im 20. 6'3'' 235 lbs. Want to get to 8% body fat, +315 bench, +500 squat, and reach a weight between 230-240.

I was a bean-pole, so I got a lot of initial gains right away, within 3 months so that people would notice....

Like Big Louie said, you train for weeks then one day you catch yourself in the mirror and think 'where'd those arms come from?'. Soz for the 'new' protein spelling error, haha.
