If someone has a great diet with a great workout mentality, with great intensity, then they are not average.

If you take your own personal view of average and throw him in the gym doing a great set, with a great diet, how big on "average" do you think someone, who is "average" can get their biceps? 17"? 18"? 19"? I keep having people ask me what they can naturally get, and obviously their genetics matter most, but there has to be some sort of number to shoot for.

Average genectics, I'd GUESS 16 or 17 if they know what there doing, of course it goes without saying, there are alot of varibles. That's just a guess though.
I'd say 15-17". It all depends on how big they are to begin with and how long one is willing to wait, and how dedicated one is to training.
If that is you in your avatar, your arm looks like mine; a big tennis ball looking bicep, but tricep stays slim, and a big gap between your elbow and where your bicep starts. I HATE THAT GAP!! when I wear short sleeve t-shirts my arm looks tiny because the first two inches above the elbow are slim. I have tried and tried to get that gap to fill, but it won't. I also have had trouble getting my tricep to bulk up. It is very strong, and very defined, but it just won't gain girth.Originally Posted by musclepump
I have recently really concentrated on my arms, they are finally starting to look decently big. For a long time they looked disproportionately small compared to my chest and shoulders. People never believe me when I tell them I weigh 175 because all my weight is in my shoulders and chest.
That depends on genetic factors. An overall average person might have short bicep tendons and short tricep tendons, allowing for greater-than-average arm density

Way too many factors to even guess, you didn't even bring up height (or are we assuming that this person is averagely, 5'10"?).
I never broke past I think 17.75" on my own, although unfortunately I wasn't aware how important diet was. I do believe I could have gotten into the 18s, but how far I dont know. It also depends what kind of bodyfat we are talking about. I've seen guys brag about having 19" arms with no training, and you can tell its from the donuts.

What this means is that when we drop a ball and it falls to the ground, it wasn't the ball that moved (down to the ground), but the ground that moved (up to the ball)
I have that tooOriginally Posted by clemson357
. Long tendons and short muscles I guess.

That's me in my avatar. I'm 5'11, though the average guy is what, 5'8? I have nice peaks, but yeah it's more of a tennis ball than a softball.
I have 15 1/2" arms right now with no juice--just wondering how much further I can take it without gear.

The average male in the US today is 5'10", it goes down every couple years it seems. The average female is 5'4".
I am 6'2", was deep into the 17s, didn't pay attention to my diet, so I'd say 16s or 17s are totally possible even with crap genetics (I was 185 pounds in my very early 20s).

That is the idea some people have in mind, reaching some point X faster than otherwise. The importance of diet almost gets amplified though because caloric boosts and cuts are more severe when people are "supplemented" since you have the ability to make those changes faster IF the diet supports it of course.

Well my "theory" is that I can use the extra Test to reach my genetic potential quicker and of course maintain an adequate diet and training to support it naturally. I'm big into sports and I'm not currently competing, and I won't use juice while competing because it's obviously against the rules, but I'm not against using it while I'm not getting tested. Maybe it's cheating in its own way, to reach my genetic limit faster, but at least I'm not above my limit by using gear and competing that way.
any guy who doesnt have some sort of disability can reach 15" arms, thats not very big

Most items will show up for 3-4 months, some up to 18 months, so if you are going to be tested make sure you read up or reconsider.

My wife has just over 14" guns
And I hear what you're saying on the life of these drugs in your system. When I get back into training, I won't be tested for at least 6mo. and obviously I'll be going through PCT for awhile after my cycle, so I should be good.
take a guess.
