    Semi HIT

Started a so called S.H.I.T. workout this week, broke my routine into a push, pull and lower body day, doing 2 sets per exercise about 4 or 5 total exercises per day, going as close to failure as I can while being safe without a spotter.

This is a question for all the true HIT people in the forum. At this point would it be more beneficial for me to just go full out HIT because I am almost there now? OR, is this semi HIT approach a worthy approach to keep following as long as I dont have a spotter?

I will say that the workouts this week so far have kicked my ass, and I definitely have used a LOT more intensity then I had been prior to this week...but I feel since I am not going to true complete failure that I can do the 2 sets and workout 2 days in a row (obviously different parts). What do you guys think? Cut the extra set, or keep it and add more rest days?

I also do a Semi HIT routine, and the workouts kick the shit out of me for the most part, but I have definitly noticed how hitting a regular three day HIT routine should and could be more beneficial than hitting a four day Semi HIT routine.

I've started a similar thing too. cept I only train every other day. 4 sets total for big muscles and 1-2 sets smaller muscles. I also hit different rep ranges on different weeks. I can't answer your question though other than to say that I feel for true HIT you really would be better with a partner.
What this means is that when we drop a ball and it falls to the ground, it wasn't the ball that moved (down to the ground), but the ground that moved (up to the ball)

If you are doing true HIT, you'll be sorely overtrained in a week lifting to failure every day..

I was referring to the whole body once a week HIT, I don't think I would be physicaly possible to do this two days in a row even.
