    shoulder problem

For the last couple of weeks my shoulder has been a little sore. At first when I got up it was really sore till I loosened it up. Now it is a little sore. Soreness comes and goes. I was wondering if I should let my shoulders rest for a week or so or just do light weights. The soreness is right on the edge of the shoulder on top. Posted in general health but figured it would get better response here.

Is it like muscle sore, or more like a pain that comes and goes?
Believe me there is a difference there. I had occassional pain on my shoulder and it ended up being tendonitis. Also, right at the very top is where your rotator muscles begin I believe, you should work at strengthening those....
Still, I would rest regardless of whether is lingering soreness or lingering pain....

It is just sore. If I put my arm around my back or try to lift something straight up with my arm it is sore. Fells like there is a bone that sticks up right on the edge of my shoulder and if you rub it it gets sore while rubbing it. Just setting around or moving it around in everyday functions then it is not sore. I just do not want to screw my shoulder up. I have not worked shoulders since Monday and I do delts on Tues. I take weekends off and did not know if this was enough time off or if I should take a week off.
