    strength routine

Can someone please give me an effective strength enhancing workout (preferably a 4 day split)

or is it possible to create my own by changing the reps and sets of my current routine? (5 sets of 5 reps)

    Suggestions welcomed Thank you.

Pick up the March issue of Flex Magazine which has the first stage of a 6 month strength training program. It looks very good, though the "guaranteed 50% strength increase" claim is a bit overblown.

One of the important things about it too is that they say it is not just your weight routine that is necessary to gain strength. NUTRITION is very important also. You have to eat and FEED THE MUSCLES.

Give MM2K a try. If you respond better to low volume, try Doggcrap.

I'm going to recommend Westside to you. I'm about halfway through my second cycle of it, and my bench press has increased 30 pounds, my squat 50 pounds, and my deadlift 70 pounds. This is after about 4 months of training Westside style. Many of my accessory lifts have also gone through the roof.

Check out the following sites for more information:

    www.westside-barbell.com
    www.elitefts.com
    www.t-nation.com

www.joeskopec.com is another site with information about powerlifting/strength routines. He uses a linear periodization approach, but I have never tried a routine listed on this site.
