gaining too much around the waist!

I need some help. I started "bulking" I guess you could say, and I have gained muscle mass, but now I'm noticing way more around the waist. What is the best way to trim my waist without losing muscle mass? By the way, I don't do any cardio since I am (or was) soo skinny. If I should do cardio, how much and how often? and will I lose muscle mass with cardio. Forgive me for my ignorance. I want to add that I am currently 13% body fat, it just seems to sit at my waist.

Your only 13% bodyfat. I would keep bulking awhile longer. In the meantime take a gander over to the nutrition section and check out Jodi's stickies. They are really helpful in setting up a cutting diet.

As an ecto, you should take cutting very cautiously imo, your focus being on keeping the muscle you have gained above other things.

Cut slower than an endo would. Pay special attention to keeping protein sky high. No need to use cardio initially. You may do just fine cutting without it.
