    What's your favorite ab workout?

What do you guys do to work your abs? Just crunches and leg lifts? or wieghted? and what's the best to do? I'm confused on the whole ab thing Should I do many crunches and leg lifts, or should I use weight like any other muscle group?

Weighted kneeling crunches using a rope on an overhead pulley.

Hanging leg lifts; to the front and also twisting to each side.

Typically I do situps, captain's chair, or hanging leg raises. I'm going to see what I think about weighted crunches too.

I used to use an ab roller and loved the results then about 3yrs ago I fell for the gimick "wheel with a stick through it" however it turned into the best thing I've ever used for abs. My abs never felt better using anything else. Still use it 3x a week, and I also do leg lifts on a decline bench.

when I train abs (like 3 months out of the year..lol) I alternate between days of non-weighted exercises and weighted exercises.
I train differently than most, my beef is with gravity the weights on the bar are just the medium...Thanks to Wall Street your slice of the American Pie has been reduced to a crumb.

Crunches / hanging knee/leg raises / dragon flag, and one a friend showed me that you have to do with a partner... you lie on your back on the floor and hold on to their legs.. lift your legs up towards then and they push them as hard as they can and you try and stop them before hitting the ground... I usually do this one last.

These are excellent, but I would make sure to get a more dynamic movement in my ab workout too. Static ab training is a good idea, as the abs are often in a state of static contraction when performing many lifts, but it shouldn't be the only form of training you do. I used to do this at football practice, and it is definitely killer. For an added twist, try spreading your legs and closing them in intervals of 15-30 seconds.

If you have a partner, crunches throwing a medicine ball are killer.
