    hot point fitness book?

    Hi everybody
I was just wondering if anybody is familiar with "hot point fitness" book? I am new to weight training that's why I tried to find some kind of program to follow with explanations how to start and what to do step by step. This book seems very detailed with excellent explanations about proper form etc.. I am a little confused concerning high/low reps... In this book for women it's recomended lighter weights high reps (20) and 2 sets each... I read some other resources and it's recommended to go low reps higher sets

As you can see I am very much clueless at this stage if I am doing things right. I am trying to find some kind of program to follow that makes sense. I read BFL but it sounds too commercialized (selling products) to my taste. I hate that in books and tend not to trust them much. So... is "hot point" good program to follow? I tried to make search on this site but could not find anything re this product.
    Thanks
