    lunges.. yikes

today was one of the first practices for track, the running was fine, got through it.

BUT we did about 200 lunges (6 times across a basketball court end-to-end do the math lol) and my legs were just to fryed to even finish practice after that, could barely walk yet alone jog or sprint..

what sucked even more is that school started in 10 min & athletics is 1st period.. so i have 10 minutes to try & recover, before i have to run AGAIN.
    which we sprinted a mile

this is almost as bad as my first time of squats, i can barely get up the stairs

What track distances are u running?

Doing that many lunges will build endurance but not power.
What this means is that when we drop a ball and it falls to the ground, it wasn't the ball that moved (down to the ground), but the ground that moved (up to the ball)

you have track practice before school ?
I train differently than most, my beef is with gravity the weights on the bar are just the medium...Thanks to Wall Street your slice of the American Pie has been reduced to a crumb.

Can be done with a bar, a bell or nothing at all.

Having track practice in the morning followed by athletics 1st period = retarded.
