    Confused

    ok im dieting down and im loosing fat.......i know my body is goin to get a lil weaker from not getting the calories......now here is where im lost......my squats numbers still keep increasing, where my upper body lifts are either dropping or remaining steady....my work out is posted some where below...anyone else have this happen...........i have been training for 5 years and im 20 years old

    They say that your legs will lie to you. Perhaps you weren't squatting with maximum intensity prior to your cut?

    That could be happening because strength can vary day to day for so many different reasons.

    One is like Shady said, perhaps you werent workin' with max. intensity.
    Strength also varies with sleep, diet, form, and most of all mental approach.

    Tis why i think strength is overrated. You never really get a true gauge for it...

    If you are loosing fat your upper body is becoming ligther so your legs does not have to push as much body weight hence you can add some more weight to your squats - but WTF do I know?
