    Hard to Bench

OK guys, I think I might of messed up something in my arm. I was doing head bangers 2 weeks ago now with very little problem. The next day I woke up and my shoulder down to my bicep hurt a little. I didn't think much about it. Well, the next week came around for bench day. When I benched it hurt my bicep to bring the weight down, but it doesn't hurt pushing it back up. I took off a week to see if I could recoperate. Well, I benched again last night. It didn't hurt quite as bad, but it still hurts bad enough to let me know something is wrong. Has anyone else had this problem? If you have, what is it, and how did you get over it?

    thanks
    Jason

you might of pulled your bicep, it helps stabilize your shoulder during the BP. RICE, and see if it gets better, if not go see your doc.

You probably just pulled or strained a muscle or tendon. If you tore it or worse you wouldn't be able to bend your arm at all. I suggest a hold cold treatment. Ice your arm, and then soak it in a hot bath. This may help the pain a little. I usually just work through my muscle problems. By doing this and taking a little time off things usually go back to normal.
