    Funny Knee

I started running on the treadmill about a month or so now, the last couple days I've found that my left knee has been feeling kind of tight all day. Like its full of fluid or something, only bothers me when I bend down.

Now I haven't had any problems on leg day, and I don't notice anything while on the treadmill so I'm thinking I'll just let it run its course as there's no pain, just the tight fluid feeling when I bend down durring the day.

What do you think? have any of you had a problem like that? should I worry about it?
I'm in my 30's and want to be able to walk when I'm 70 so let me know.

No, I have never had anything like that happen.

Stop running and see how it feels in a couple of weeks, if it persists see a doc.

but you probably already knew that!

I have fluid on my knee from an injury as a boy. I think a lot of football players get it also. The doctor said he could do surgery, and I said no thank you. I also do not have any problems on leg day. I don't even try to run anymore, for cardio I do kick boxing. The instructor is this little bity woman who kicks my butt. She screams at me the whole time that I am not trying hard enough.

Holy cripes...I tried a kickboxing class once. It was a torture session. And all the little ladies in the class made me look PITIFUL. It was a good workout though. I hurt for two days after that.

No, it only bothers me at work when I have to bend down so I haven't givin it much thought. Felt fine this morning before the run on the treadmill but now at work its doing it again.
Doesn't look puffed up or anything, just feels all tight like its full of fluid when I bend down.

I'll try the ice tonight if its still buggin me. It felt better last night after sitting in the hot tub.

Ice it down, that is a great idea. Ice is my friend.

I don't think she is a lez, she has two kids. She told my wife in the women's locker room one day, "Man your husband is so buff". I just think she enjoys kicking my ass into next week. I am usually the only guy in her class.

It is great exercise, although I am cutting back on cardio right now and trying to gain some more mass.

I would still ice it a few times per day over the next few days. Watch it closely. Keep us posted.

You've got to remember Scotty when you run you put a ton more pressure on your knees than when you do legs in the gym. In the gym you do say 10 reps in a short period of time whereas when you run you are basically putting your entire body weight on each knee every few seconds. You also have to account for the inertia your body has when it comes down to take a step when running. So the weight put on your knee is actually more than your body weight.

I have bad knees to begin with so when i do cardio i stick to the machines that will put low stress on my knees. The Precore and eliptical machines are the best.

Try a different form of cardio and see if it makes a difference.

Try using vitamin B5, 500mg three times a day. It will correct your knee in a day or two.

Thanks for the Vit B5 BigAl, I knew there was a vit that would help but couldn't remember what one it was.
