    Preacher curls

I'am still weightlifting at home(New gym opening soon ) and want to add some preacher curls to my routine. I don't have a preacher bench , but can I improvise with something else?

a large automan (foot rest), or if you have a squat rack, put a towel over the bar and rest your elbows on it at a low position....?

Hell, I bought a flat bench that has an interchangeable preacher bench and leg extension for $140. Not very expensive.

I constructed one that I use on my squat cage. It is the pad (about 2ft x 2ft) with 2 legs and a horizontal tube accross the top portion (on the backside of the pad). I set the legs about 12 inches in front of the cage and lean the pad back onto the rack pins. (Kind of like leaning a ladder against a wall, cept a lot shorter). I then slide my bench up to the pad. Cost me about $20 total. And that is with padding, fake leather covering, plywood (for pad), 1-inch steel tubing for the frame and cross piece.
