    Doms?

    Hi all,

Is there anything i can do to avoid DOMS or is it just part of BodyBuilding?

I believe the latter to be true - But i am so fed up with people saying it's my own fault and that i should have warmed down properly!!

    Cheers

You can't avoid DOMS, just reduce it.

For instance, i did legs on Sun., and they hurt worse than they ever have before. They're past the point of very sore, and yesterday were to the point of painful. Every time i got up from sitting, or took a step, or even moved my legs, it was llike someone was stabbing them.

Rest, sleep, stretching and food are the best ways to reduce DOMS, but there's no way to avoid it.

Whether you cool down or not you might still experience DOMS. I don't know...I love being sore...its part of the tearing down and rebuilding process. Only be concerned if your muscle is still sore by the time its supposed to be worked again.

i don't mind soreness, but my legs are ridiculous. I work 'em on Sundays, and they are sore until the next Saturday, the day before i work 'em again. Only this past Sunday they've been worse than ever before. They're not even sore, it's painful.

I think it's cuz i train so hard, plus i rarely stretch after. but even if i do stretch, my legs get SO sore.

    Unhappy Doms

Yes must admit, i kinda like to be sore, then i know i have worked hard enough!! I just hate walking like i wet my pants though.

However it is just my legs that get so sore and i end up with good results. My upper body is another matter, hardly gets sore, hardly gets results?
