    Flexed Arm Hang ???

    Hiya,

My biceps are really laggin behind and Im looking for something new to give them some size\peaks. I read with interest on IronMagazine the section written by Nick Nilsson about Flexed Arm Hangs. Does he mean you should do these instead of any other Bicep training or does he mean do these at the end of bicep training or at the end of every training session ??? Bit confused

Thanks in advance and sorry if Im being a bit dense !

    Pete

He says do them by themself, but thats stupid. Try flex curls, they worked for a lot of people here. Flex curls are when you keep your elbows in as much as you can.

You won't be able to train a peak unless you've been genetically ordained to. Change in demands is a great way to pull lagging parts to par (if, of course, you actually CAN bring them up to par at all)

Something I like to do and my bi's have responded very well is doing cable preacher curl's the flex way, the constant tension really hit's em hard.there's another way to do them on another board were you lay down on your back and put the pully to to the highest setting and do curl's that way I believe there called animal curl's.

Actually, to clarify, I recommend doing the Flexed Arm Hang as an additional set at the end of every workout, not as your entire bicep workout. I apologize if that didn't come across clearly in the article and I apologize for any confusion with that.

This single set ensures that muscle fibers of the biceps are worked to absolute failure. It basically sends an emergency signal to the body that more recovery resources need to be sent to the bicep muscles - they're getting a very regular, very powerful growth stimulus, training them to absolute failure with a bodyweight exercise like this.

I would definitely recommend giving it a try at least once.
