    Length of training cycle?

I was curious how many weeks in a training cycle you all usually train for. I have been training 8 weeks on and then 1 week off to rest. I lift 3 times a week alternating upper body one session, lower body the next. Is 8 weeks on, 1 off pretty much standard? Thanks

8-12 weeks is pretty standard as stated previously. However, don't be afraid to go a little longer or stop a bit before that if you remain especially energetic or feel a bit overtrained.
