hard to say what might be wrong or what you might be able to do to help without knowing what you are currently doing.

Shoulder thickness is best built with basic exercises like military presses, behind the neck presses, dumbell presses, push presses, and upright rows.

    Gopro,

I have hurt the tendons in my forearms doing upright row, and I was told that I have my hands to close together. What do feel about your hand position. Should it be about shoulder width, I had mine almost touching. Also what is a push press.

    Thanks

there are different advantages with close grip upright rows. dont give up hope yet. ask your doc what he thinks about lifting straps. See if that helps. also you may be going too heavy too soon. Work your way up. Dont be afraid to go lighter. lighter and slower.
    Good luck dude!

to answer seyone I currently do shoulder presses, shrugs, upright rows and a reverse peck deck fly, I was told to do circles with light weight, but I'm afraid I will see something good to look at in the gym and throw the weight across the gym, but I'm trying to increase weight and lower reps for force growth but I don't ant to tear my shoulders..

To work more of the traps, a closer grip on upright rows is best. To recruit more deltoid, a wider grip is better. The wider the grip, the more medial deltoid comes into play.

For wrist problems, it may be best to use dumbells for upright rows, as you will be less restricted, and can maneuver your wrists into a more comfortable position.

A push press is a standing military press with one difference. You use heavier weight and do a slight squat before firing the weight overhead. You then resist the weight on the way down. It is sort of like a "cheating" press....good for mass.
