Hey brothers and sisters. Post your workouts here. I know that we train a little different. Cause of pt and all. But, post your workouts so that we can see what each other is doing.

I should note that I am a National Guardsman so I don't follow a typical "Army routine". Frankly, most military routines are a joke to me unless they are doing muscle failure traiing. I usually get good and smoked on those days.

    Monday
    0500 - 1 hour Stairmaster
evening - 45 degree Leg Press, Squats, Leg Curls, Stiff Leg Dead Lift, Standing Calf Raise, Seated Calf raise.

    Tuesday
    0500 - 1 hour Treadmill - Inclined, fast walk
evening - Inclined Bench, Dumbbell Bench Press, Decline Bench Press, Weighted Dips, Leg Lifts, Weighted Cable Crunches, Inclined Crunches

    Wednesday
0500 - 1 hour Stationary Bike - Multiple program settings
evening - Bent Over Rows, Close-grip Pull Downs, Pull Ups, Cable Rows, Dead Liftf, Barbell Shrugs

    Thursday
    0500 - 1 hour Stairmaster
evening - Dumbbell Press, Straight Bar Military Press, Dumbbell Side Laterals, Lying Tri Press, Tri Cable press-downs, Seated Overhead Tricep Press

    Friday
    0500 - 5 mile run
evening - Straight Bar Curls, Dumbbell Hammer Curls, Curl-Bar Curls, Leg Lifts, Weighted Cable Crunches, Inclined Crunches

Saturday and Sunday = Off days
although I do occasionally Mt. Bike some great single tracks near my town.

PT? I was in the Chair Force until last year so PT wasn't even part of my vocabulary. Never did believe in mandatory exercise when I already have my own regimen anyway.

I think (mandatory) organized PT can be very beneficial to the troops. If administered properly, it allows NCO's the ability to assess their subordinates’ physical abilities (strengths and weaknesses) as well as build up camaraderie and esprite de corps. Like you, however, I feel that in addition to the mandatory PT, Troops should have their own individual training regiment in place. The problem with organized unit level PT is that not everyone performs at the same level. In many cases, certain individuals are not getting pushed to their limits to achieve gains.

Like I said in my previous post, "Muscle Failure" training is my best workout when doing organized PT but that's because the results are solely based upon the individual effort put forth. "In Cadence" exercises and PT tests are not that big a challenge.

    ^^^

Well I never had it quite that easy. I was flightline so I actually had to [over]work for a living! But at least I got out before the PT started. They actually have all the out of shape AF folks out running 3 times a week now.
