    What do you guy's think about the cable exercises people do in the gyms? I use them for bi-ceps and get good pump and results. Bullboy

    I think they are fine but I wouldn't rely on them alone.

    for the most part I think most machines are beneficial as long as they are used to supplement a free weight based training program.

    example: I see plenty of guys come into the gym and go from the smith for flat benching, to the Hammer for incline to the pec deck, with nothing but the pecs of a 12 year old girl to show.
    I train differently than most, my beef is with gravity the weights on the bar are just the medium...Thanks to Wall Street your slice of the American Pie has been reduced to a crumb.

    i like cables or my triceps a lot, i also do a few sets of really really slooowww reps for chest at the end of my chest work out...
