    Just found a new personal best...!!

    i was doing hip rotations. Machine way to train your obliques.

    Did the whole stack..190 lbs of weight

    just thought id share

    Nice job! Any PR is worth mentioning! You really should train your obliques man; there's really no reason not to. I do bicycles for mine. It only takes a couple minutes and they work your abs and obliques, so I do them after each workout because I typically recover quickly from them.

    I do abs, but not obliques. I've read that a lot of people here don't train them because it makes them bigger, if they want them to show, they just cut. (And they probably get trained a little bit from squats).

    You have to use weight to get big obliques, unweighted exercises won't make them bigger. It would be like someone doing weightless squats to get big legs.

    i train my obliques b/c im going for overall body strength. Not only for the look. Your only as strong as your weakest link they say.

    I do not see the logic of doing a max on an exercise like this but congrats anyway!!

    I'm going for strength and looks, but to me it seems like squats, leg press, and deadlifts are a lot more worthwhile for strength than oblique training... I'll probably end up adding some oblique training in now as well though...

    i rarely ever max out.
