    Swimsuit season is coming up.

Prove to the people who expected you to quit your goal.

    Being strong.

    Feeling good about yourself, self-confidence..

You'll feel great when you run into old friends from the past.

The feeling of driving home afterwards knowing that you just ripped your muscles

Sometimes we lose sight of our goals not realizing that if we only held out for one more day that we could have found the vehicle to achieve our goal....your vehicle is waiting for you to find it....

Get naked and stand in front of a full length mirror........if you like what you see,go watch TV...........if not,get to the gym and suck it up or take up another pastime.

Bodybuilding is a tough sport........you`ve got to be tougher and just crank it out!!

Flex in the mirror, then look at people who look better/bigger than you and say to yourself you want to look like that or better and that you can do it... As far as actual motivation/drive during training, music works for me.

There u go....GOALS! Visualize the light at the end of the tunnel! Like someone here said, we all lose focus but what matters is how Quick we re-focus!! ...sounds good to me! Motivation? Try walking around your house in your "fitness gear" not your Lounge wear! lol. That may help 2 keep you focused ALL day long!! You know the saying...."Dress 4 Success!" ...fitness success that is!

Checking yourself out in the mirror naked definately works as motivation for me. Also, maybe plan a summer roadtrip with friends or something where you will need to be shirtless at some point, then let looking good by then work as motivation. Or.. do you have a certain girl you want to impress this summer? Maybe an ex-girlfriend you know you'll be running into and you wanna let her know what she's missing now? Just some more ideas.

I come home from work, relax a second and wait for the wife to start bitching about something.... I'm a short fused type person so after a long day it doesn't take a whole lot to set me off....and in relation to lifting its the 1st time I can say my temper is a good thing

I'd go with the previous suggestion and take some time off. After that, you'll probably come back more focused and determined because you broke the same old routine. I'd also come back with a new workout and perhaps some (new) music. Make sure, above all, that you ENJOY the workouts you do. Now I know that some people say you shouldn't enjoy it, but that you should hate everything you do in the gym, or else you're not doing it right. I believe that if you enjoy something, you're a hell of a lot more likely to stick to it and do well than if you hated it. Push yourself. Enjoy yourself. Be yourself.

I'm my own motivation. I do it for me and no one else. Bottom line: if you do it for someone other than yourself, there's really no point in doing it. I mean sure, it'd be nice if your girlfriend could hold onto a ripped body, but that shouldn't be THE motivator, IMHO. I think that if you're not doing it for you, you're doing it for the wrong reasons. But that's just me.

Bodybuilding is a weird sport if you do it long enough it will growe on to you and you will never get bored (thats just me talking form my views).....when i first started i was like you, motivateed and then lazy to go to the gym...now i would never miss a workout ever......i have all the motivation i need when i look at my body in the mirror, i am obsessed with myself, i know i am big and muscular but i just dont see it i want more and more......but if you break thru that 2 year "breakinn" period i beleive you will stay with the sport forever...the first 2 yrs are the toughest...

If it bores you then don't do it. That's my advice. Do something else that interests you.
What this means is that when we drop a ball and it falls to the ground, it wasn't the ball that moved (down to the ground), but the ground that moved (up to the ball)

i'm in the middle of a break right now & i have felt like shit because im not using my body but i don't even have dumbbells at home i got 2 more days..

but i've really had a problem with being to relaxed. i get in the weight room just laxed & chill. last week i was throwing on the usual plates & i just couldnt lift them because i was so relaxed & really had nothing to use against the bar (anger, being pumped up) so i decreased the poundage by 5-10lbs & hit failure on the 1st set which has never happened to me before

I have an acute case of lose-my-muscle-phobia. That, and my job. I'm always sizing guys up when I go on a call. I want to be the bigger of the two (or three)
